The ceiling is blue and we have two more rugs
While I painted two coats of "834" on the ceiling JoAnn and Gordon shoped. I thought the ceiling was going to be the big deal, until they came home with the kitchen rug (and other stuff).

The great room ceiling is blue heaven now. I like it. More cozy, makes everything in the room pop more. Beams would be great if they were free. But the hit of the day is the kitchen rug, a close second is the hall rug. The two together are knockouts. So without further ado:

The colors pull from everywhere. What are those things?

This was a contender with great colors but it was too small:

Then the hall rug. They actually brought home 3 rugs but this is the winner:

Now we have checks, balls, and stripes

In place

That's pretty good. So we hung the portraits:

Now for the whole effect as best as I can photograph it:

You can see "The Fabric" on the stool.
Believe me, the colors are happening big time.
David's picture at the end of the hall balances everything.

They brought home a couple of bowl things:

Big black painted bowl

A bowl that looked like beaten copper.

A suggested motif for above the Palladian window.

We're tired, we're sore. It was a great day.
