The club receives funds from Georgia Tech student fees, club dues, team fundraisers, and sponsors. The budget must cover uniforms, tournament fees, transportation, field fees, referees, and more.

The purpose of this organization:

  1. To further the interest of the Georgia Tech community in the sport of soccer.
  2. To develop skill and proficiency in the sport of soccer.
  3. To compete in a sportsmanlike manner with other soccer clubs.
  4. To provide the opportunity for Georgia Tech female students to participate in this sport
  5. To provide competitive soccer games for the entertainment of the Georgia Tech community.

Number of members in organization:   Our current total membership is 26 (23 Undergraduate Students + 3 Graduate Students).

Recent Activities / Projects:

  • Clemson Socctoberfest 2003 – Played Clemson, Tulane & ECU, made quarter-finals.
  • University of Florida Tournament, Fall 2004
  • Regionals: Cary, North Carolina, Fall 2004
  • NIRSA Tournament - Offers us an invitation to play in national tournament in Austin, Texas. (www.nirsa.org)

The Women’s Soccer Club provides a year around opportunity for female athletes to come together as a community and further their soccer skills. Through this development, the team competes in a sportsmanlike manner with other soccer clubs. Quality friends are developed through working together towards a common interest and goal. Positions within our club offer opportunities to demonstrate and practice leadership skills.
