Dave suggests some lansdscapeing for the rocks

7/30/2007

David Curl of Curl Landscapes took a brief look at the circle today and made some suggestions:

1. Try some granite dust under the most vulnerable stones, the ones that "rock."

2. Do one tree but consider the traffic and the power lines. If the tree is too broad, vehicles will break the limbs and the power line tree trimmers will butcher the tree from time to time.

3. Get as big a tree a we can afford, haul, and manhandle into the ground.

Crepe Myrtle - a big one.

Little Gem Magnolia the width is only 8 - 10 feet.

Chinese Elm. May get too wide but grows fast.

Crepe Myrtle get a big one, many choices

3. Growing stuff between the rocks:

Golden Creeping Thyme which is thyme with a gold flower, I guess. Good between rocks and you can walk on it.

Blue Star Creep  I guess it creeps and has a flower that looks like a blue star.

Various Creeping Sedum scroll down to see a pretty one. Says it grows fast!
