I've been building websites for fun, non-profits, and for profit since July, 2000. The fact is I really enjoy building websites and particularly rental sites. Here are some sites I've done.
My philosophy is that your site needs to be more than a real estate ad. It needs to provide obvious and genuine service for your guests. Your site must help your guests enjoy their vacation. That will set your site apart and your guests will remember you for it.
My goals for your site:
- It will have a human voice.
- It will attract surfers who aren't even looking for a rental.
- It will help your guests plan their vacation even after they've put their money down.
- It will build your guest's pre-vacation anticipation.
- It will contain your personal insights about the property and the area.
- It will be honest and helpful.
- It will make you proud.
- It will inspire your guests to tell their friends before, during and after their vacation:
Friend: "I hear your going on vacation, where you staying?
Guest: We're going to Shark Beach; the house has a website; take a look."
