Announcements *****************
***The PTSA board meeting is at Tuesday, April 15 6pm in the
Media center, then at 7pm in the theatre we will vote on the slate of
officer and the Grady Jazz band will perform.
***The Grady PTSA is planning a thank you tea party to honor all the
many volunteers who have supported Grady High School this year.
The Tea will held on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Park Tavern. Please
forward the names of any volunteers to Lydia Brandon at btw83inc@bellsouth.net.
This may include yourself or others, who have stepped forward this year
and helped in any way at Grady. It could have been with the a club
activity, for a teacher, on a PTSA committee or fundraising in the parking
lot. Further details will be mailed later.
***Exchange Students
Need Hosts - This coming school year the Grady Family will
continue to Globalize as new and fresh high school exchange
students enroll at GHS. These students are not traditional
exchange students, they are recipients of US State Department Scholarships
(FLEX and Congress-Bundestag), speak excellent English, are excellent
students, and are highly motivated. Four (4) of these
students need host families to take them in a treat them as a family
member. Please contact William Teasley (Kateryna Saykovska 12th
Grade GHS) for information on hosting (404-622-8783).
***Many thanks to the parents, students, staff, and friends of Grady
who contributed to this year's Interact Club book/bake sale! The
Interact Club made $200 for the African Library Project and an additional
$75 for club activities. Leftover books will benefit Grady's Literacy
Project as well as projects at our feeder schools and community service
partner organizations. Your generosity, therefore, will continue to do
good work in Atlanta and abroad.
The Interact Club also appreciates the Grady PTSA for providing our
book sale banner through the Teacher Grants Program. A full 3/4 of our
customers indicated that the banner had enticed them to come to the book
sale. Thanks, PTSA, for your invaluable service to the Interact Club.
