** Join the Buildings and Grounds Committee  for the Second "Derthick Plaza" Work Day on the second Saturday in October - 13, 8 AM - Noon.

**Volunteers Wanted: The PTSA is providing refreshments and the decorations for the school dance on Oct 19. If you are interested in helping decorate or serve refreshments, please call Alicia Oden at 404-991-2139 or email AODEN@bellsouth.net   The Grey Knight Boosters needs volunteers to help sell food Thurs. Oct. 18 before - during Talent show - 4:30 - ?? and to sell  T-shirts, etc. at tailgate party and before Homecoming  game Fri. ** PSAT  Registration for the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT) on October 16 started the week of September 10 and continues through October 12. Ninth graders pay $11 to take the PSAT, Atlanta Public Schools pays for all 10th graders, and the State of Georgia pays for all 11th graders.  Ninth and tenth graders are encouraged to take the PSAT.  For 11th graders the PSAT is also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.  Students register in the Guidance Counselor's Office.
