In Peter Kowald's Ort project she has played with Evan Parker, Carlos Zingaro, Butch Morris, Joèlle Léandre, Lé Quan Ninh, among many others.

Her recent duo CD "É Pericoloso Spogersi" with the Belgian bassist Peter Jacquemyn was awarded by the German Association of New Music and the Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt. Her festival appearances include: Taktlos and Uncool (both in Switzerland), Human Noise (Germany), Nievw Music (Belgium), and Fruits de Mhère (France). She has toured throughout Europe and China.

"Gunda Gottschalk rised out of my Ort-Ensemble in 1994/95 and has been member of various groups of mine since. Her inventive and creative light shines brightly among the Wuppertal musicians of the younger generation, and I regard her as one of the most interesting string players in Europe these days. Yes: Gunda!³  (Peter Kowald)*

Ensemble Elastique featuring Roger Ruzow (trumpet), Bill Nittler (clarinet), Jeff Smith (bass clarinet) and Daniel Brown (cello) opens. Ensemble members will also individually collaborate with Ms. Gottschalk following her solo set.

Ms. Gottschalk will also perform the following evening (Oct 8) in Athens at the Flicker Theatre (263 West Washington Street) with saxophonist Frank Gratkowski and members of Athens' improvising community to include Marshall Marrotte (lap steel), Colin Bragg (guitar), Blake Helton (drums) and Erik Hinds (H'arpeggione).
