Athens Creative Media Encounter - 2004, March 31 - April 4

It is a festival dedicated to presenting the highest quality jazz and improvised music and their related arts.  Artistic Director Ken Vandermark (1999 MacArthur Fellow, saxophonist, improviser, and composer) has established himself internationally as an esteemed artist and a relentless promoter of this music.  Now, for the first time in the U.S., he brings together a host of international musicians for a week of collaboration and dialogue.  Through a series of concerts, lectures, workshops, and seminars, the ACME Festival will offer an unparalleled opportunity to hear, see, encounter, and interact with the music, musicians, art, and artists from Germany,  Norway, Sweden, and the United States. The website is www.acmefestival.com (tickets and information will be available soon.) Please find the performance schedule below and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
