Get Up

The Hot Rock "Get Up"

The "bass" part of the song just keeps going and going.  The instersting aspect is how the bass rhythm counterpionts the "lead" guitar: The result is complex sounding and synchopated.  Riff 4 comes out of the blue.  I can't make it out exactly but what I've done are certainly the right notes if not in the right places and it sounds fine.  As usual, this S-K songs has a purposeful end.

  • Quarter note = 144 or so.
  • Standard tuning.
  • Tabbed where it felt good on the fretboard but there are alternatives.
  • These images a pretty big.  I hope you can be patient for the graphics to load.  (They aren't that big, I hope.)

Thanks to Thierry who pointed out that I missed this one the first time around. I tabbed in standard tuning and D-flat tuning, just so you could see the difference. Carrie does a few slides on this one.
